Felt rockets

We wanted to design our own spaceships using the maths shapes we know.
We helped suggest shapes for teacher's rocket:- a triangle for the nose, a rectangle for the rocket body (we thought a cylinder would be better but would be very difficult to stick on to the paper), a circle for the porthole (window), a square for the door, and for the fire we thought of crescents, ovals, triangles and semi-circles.  Teacher added one of each but that just looks a bit silly!
Here are our designs:

Ms. O'Connor's class say:

We are learning all about Space.

We made rockets from felt material. We had great fun cutting up different shapes!
