Learning about violins in Junior Infants

This week we were learning about the letter v. One word we know starts with the letter v is violin. Ms. Crotty brought in her violin (although she is a little out of practice). Teacher played us a few tunes and we learned all about the violin. It has 4 strings. It has a bridge to hold up the strings. You use a bow to play the stringsand it is made of horse hairs. You have to tighten up the bow to play it and loosen it when you are finished playing. You keep the violin safe in a case. We all had a little turn to try and play the violin. There was lots of "music" in the classroom.
