Autumn hedgehogs: Ms. Flaherty's Senior infants

We painted these lovely hedgehogs this week. We remembered to use autumn colours when painting the leaves. We then chose a colour to paint the background. When everything was dry we stuck on some speghetti pasta to make the spines. We also learned about the life of the hedgehog.

Circus pictures: Senior infants

The children painted pictures of the circus - they did wonderfully imaginative pictures of elephants,acrobats,trapeze swingers and scary lions.
In drama ,we pretended to be the circus people -getting the town ready for the circus and performing as liontamers and lions,tightrope walkers,silly clowns and graceful acrobats!

 In our drama session we have been to the forest.  There we met Ferdie the frog.  He wanted to come back to the classroom with us, so we have let him stay in our classroom.  We chose him a nice place to stay, on the  Nature Table, sitting on some stones and leaves.  We think he will be very comfortable there.  We enjoyed our visit to the forest and especially the sights and sounds of Autumn.

Spinning Rainbow Colours: Ms. Lally & Ms. McLoughlin

 We learned a poem about colours (in Irish), a song about rainbow colours (in English) and a song from the whiteboard (in English) about mixing colours.

At the end of our very enjoyable session about colours Ms. Lally and her class taught us a great song and dance called "We Will Rock You".  We need to practise this a bit more.
