Red Riding Hood drama

We saw a wonderful performance from Ms. Connolly's and Ms. Lane's after school drama club.

It was a fun show and we were so impressed with the wonderful acting and singing.

Butterfly art

On a lovely sunny day in June, we did our art outside, either in the sun or in the shade.

We used our marbled paper to trace and cut out butterflies.

They look great flying on their black backgrounds.

We tried colouring butterflies on the ground but the ground was too bumpy so we coloured against the window.

Look at the beautiful butterflies we made!

Worms and caterpillars in our apples

We love eating apples.

They are good for us and keep us healthy.

Not these apples though.

These ones have worms or caterpillars in them.
Yuck!

We had fun clapping along with chugga and chooo

to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle.

Some of us are very good at getting the patterns right.

Making kites

We made kites in school today.

We started off with a rectangular piece of paper.

We folded down a triangle, then cut off the spare little rectangle.

We ended up with a square or a diamond.

Teacher helped us put on the skewers to make the kite nice and strong.

We loved choosing tails.

Here are our finished kites.

We can't wait to fly them on our next sunny but windy day.

It was a lovely sunny, windy day.

Perfect weather for flying kites.

It is so lucky that we made lovely kites this week.

We got a chance to fly them.
